Adults: Take 12 grams of powder (2 level scoops) mixed in 250 mL of water or juice, twice daily.

Warnings

  • Contains vitamin B6 – stop taking this medication if you experience tingling, burning or numbness and see your healthcare professional as soon as possible
  • Contains zinc which may be dangerous if taken in large amounts or for a long period
  • Consumption over 350mg elemental magnesium daily may have a laxative effect or cause diarrhoea.
  • Vitamin and mineral supplements should not replace a balanced diet
  • Contains 100mg of potassium per dose
  • Contains sugar and trace amounts of sulfites
  • Monitor patients taking thyroxine
  • Caution is advised for individuals with existing renal conditions, young children and pregnant women due to the mineral and amino acid content.
  • If taking tetracycline, quinolone or fluoroquinolone antibiotics, or bisphosphonates (osteoporosis drugs), separate by at least two hours
  • To be used with caution in patients taking medications that cause potassium retention/hyperkalaemia.
  • Discontinue 7 days prior to general anaesthesia
  • If patient symptoms persist, seek additional professional advice
